Shawaya Zone
The Arabic and English website of Shawaya Zone, a grilled chicken restaurant in Medina: its full menu with prices, its story, and every way to reach it, from WhatsApp to an embedded map. I built it as its Full-Stack Developer.
- Industry :
- Restaurant / Food & Beverage
- Role :
- Full-Stack Developer
- Technologies :
- Next.js · Tailwind CSS · next-intl · Framer Motion · Vercel

My Role :
As the Full-Stack Developer, I built the Shawaya Zone website: its bilingual pages, its full menu, its animated sections and its contact experience.
Key Features :
- Arabic and English versions of every page, right to left and left to right
- A full menu by category, with a photo, description and price in riyals for each item
- Home, menu, about and contact pages
- A contact page with the location, opening hours, an embedded map and a message form
- WhatsApp, phone, email and social media links throughout
- Page-specific titles and descriptions for search engines
- Animated, responsive sections built with Framer Motion
Problem :
Shawaya Zone is a grilled chicken restaurant in Medina, serving halal chicken prepared fresh every day with traditional recipes.
It needed a website that presents the restaurant and its full menu with prices, tells its story, and makes it easy to get in touch or visit: by WhatsApp, phone or email, or in person, in both Arabic and English.

Challenge :
The site serves two languages with opposite reading directions, Arabic right to left and English left to right, from one Next.js codebase, with its text kept in translation files through next-intl so that every page exists in both.
The menu is long, covering grilled chicken, sides and stews, meals, drinks and extras, each with a photo, description and price, so it had to stay easy to scan on phones as well as desktops. On top of that, the dark, photo-led design uses scroll and entrance animations that had to keep the pages smooth and readable.
Summary :
Shawaya Zone is the bilingual website of a grilled chicken restaurant in Medina. It presents the restaurant, its full menu with prices, its story and values, and every way to reach it: an embedded map, opening hours, phone, email, WhatsApp and a contact form.
I built it as the Full-Stack Developer with Next.js, Tailwind CSS, next-intl and Framer Motion, and it is hosted on Vercel.
